Home Tutoring Online is an online tutoring company based in the UK. It offers students the opportunity to be tutored by tutors through our virtual classroom. We currently have 2 types of tutors; student tutors (current students from the top 10 universities in the UK based on entry standards) and qualified tutors (tutors who have achieved qualified teacher status and have teaching experience). All tutors are self employed and are paid once the lesson has been completed.

We also offer Easter Revision courses and School programs. Home Tutoring Online was launched in September of last year, on a minimal budget.

Each hour lesson costs ?15 ? student tutor and ?25 ? qualified tutor. We make ?5 per hour on both the types of tutors.

How Home Tutoring Online Works??????????????

For the student:

1.???????A student will arrive at the website looking for a tutor.

2.???????They will then search for the tutor* (http://www.hometutoringonline.co.uk/student/findatutorvideo)

3.???????They will then browse the suitable tutor profiles and contact a tutor through the messaging system (http://www.hometutoringonline.co.uk/student/sendamessage)

4.???????They will then book in a lesson with the tutor (http://hometutoringonline.co.uk/student/bookalessonvideo)

5.???????They will then start the lesson**(http://www.hometutoringonline.co.uk/student/startalesson)

6.???????The lesson finishes and they leave feedback on the tutor*

*Students will be required to registered to message tutors

**Their account must be credited before the lesson ? Credit is deducted from the account when the student selects ?START LESSON?

NOTE: Feedback is listed on the tutor profiles but is currently made invisible as there is not enough feedback given on each tutor.

For the tutor:

1.???????The tutor signs up to the website

2.???????They then validate their credentials by sending a copy (scanned in and emailed across) their credentials ? CRB check & QTS

3.???????We then validate their account (selecting validated on the Cpanel)

4.???????They then receive messages from students

5.???????They then receive lesson requests

6.???????They begin the lesson

7.???????The lesson finishes and the tutor leaves feedback on the lesson including: lesson summary, areas of improvement & weakness etc (which is emailed to the students email)

Our vision for Home Tutoring Online

Our vision is that in 2 years, Home Tutoring Online is the number 1 online tutoring company in the UK and that serves 20,000 + lessons a year by a combination of school programs and private students.

We have been following the growth of online tutoring closely over the past 2 years. Online tutoring is a big market in the US and is starting to grow in the UK at an exciting rate. We have recently been approached by schools who need one-to-one tuition in line the government scheme () and in order to offer more financially viable tutoring resources to their students. We are currently in talks with 2 schools that require between 500 ? 750 lessons each for the forth coming year. We have also been approached by a few large organisations that are interested in the business and have been featured in the daily?Telegraph.?

Why am I selling?

I am good at getting businesses off the ground and that is what I do. Although I am a little hesitant to sell because I know the potential of this website is huge, I know that skills & knowledge is very limited. I would love to see the business website and it needs someone who knows how to effectively market the business.
