The Manager of Human Resources Information Systems will support the Banner HR system, encompassing responsibilities in system administration, reporting/analysis, business process design and improvement and security access. The Manager of Human Resources Information Systems will develop, implement, update and maintain the computerized Human Resources Information System maintaining required confidentiality of information and data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage projects which will enhance delivery of Human Resources services to employees and the University community; Lead a variety of initiatives focused on automating various Human Resources/Payroll processes and functions, including applicant tracking, employment requisition and search processes, performance appraisal, time and attendance reporting, job description access, appointment process etc.
Establish and implement audit procedures and perform ongoing analysis to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
Have primary responsibility for HRIS and serve as lead representative or liaison to other departments, particularly Computer Services and Payroll. Serves as the Data Custodian for Human Resources and Payroll.
Create relevant complex confidential reports and queries associated the collective bargaining process, contract administration, grievance processing; facilitates the development of advanced reporting needs.
Maintains the Office of Human Resources webpage(s) and revise and update as necessary.
Assist Human Resources and Payroll staff in utilizing technology and collaborates with other staff members to train others on basic reporting, current systems, introduction of new products or system upgrades.
Prepare and maintain HRIS documentation, including vendor procedural manuals, unit operational procedure/policy manuals, and other related documents.
Manage the set-up, testing and rollout of new HRIS initiatives.
Represents the Office of Human Resources on system and operational committees and project teams, assuring needs and requirements are supported and maintained.
Formulates Banner queries & reports.
Oversee the set-up and maintenance of supporting HR tables and security access.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSURES: None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, human resources or other relevant discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years of current relevant Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in higher education; Experience/knowledge of Banner HR/Payroll module strongly
preferred.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access), and proficiency/expertise in HRIS. Excellent
communication, organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to manage
projects and lead implementation/conversion of systems. General knowledge of HR and payroll practices.
