Chemonics seeks a new business manager to pursue a wide range of opportunities to support reconstruction and development efforts in Haiti, in sectors including health, local governance, construction, economic growth, and rule of law. The new business manager must be willing to travel to rural and fragile environments in Haiti for four to eight weeks per year. We are looking for individuals who are excited about the transition from relief to development, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a pivotal member of the Washington home-office new business team
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, counterparts, and stakeholders
- Plan and direct home-office new business activities for Haiti and participate, as needed, on corporate new business task forces with special emphasis on strategy and proposal team development
- Identify and develop new business leads, articulating well about international development assistance programs and trends and Chemonics' role therein, and expanding knowledge beyond assigned region and primary technical area
- Attract, recruit, and recommend hiring of new staff

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
- Minimum three years of experience in international development
- Demonstrated ability to work on proposal teams in a variety of roles
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
- Ability and willingness to travel to Haiti
- Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
- Experience in Haiti preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in written? and oral English and French required; Creole capability a plus
